Mozart's Birthplace and Residence
The Mozart museums in Salzburg offer a special Mozart experience to get close to the most famous composer of all time. The genius worked and lived for many years in his place of birth and in his residence.
In Mozart's birthplace, the stations "The everyday life of a child prodigy", "Mozart at the theatre" and "Myth and veneration" bring the composer and his work to life. Special exhibits include the world's largest collection of authentic portraits and his children's violin.
In the Mozart Residence, the exhibition "The Mozarts - A Family of Musicians" focuses on the Mozart family and shows exciting contemporary testimonies from their lives in the 18th century. Among the exhibits are the original fortepiano owned by Mozart, the famous family portrait and Mozart's original "Klotz" violin.
WESTbahn customers are admitted at a reduced rate:
- Combined ticket for Mozart's Birthplace and the Mozart Residence at € 15.50 instead of € 18.50
- Family Combiticket for Mozart's Birthplace and the Mozart Residence at € 35 instead of € 39
Please present a valid WESTbahn ticket with the destination Salzburg at the ticket office. It must not be older than 72 hours.
