Starting December 15th 2024, direct connections from Vienna via Munich to Stuttgart
As of 15.12.2024 we recommend: Off to Stuttgart ! Our modern and comfortable double-decker fleet will take you directly from Vienna via Salzburg and Munich to Augsburg, Günzburg/LEGOLAND® Deutschland and Ulm to the capital of Baden Württemberg Stuttgart.

The new WESTbahn timetable for Stuttgart
Starting December 15th 2024, we will operate two daily services from Vienna to Stuttgart and back.
Our morning train departs from Vienna Westbahnhof at 08:08 and arrives at Stuttgart Central Station at 14:37. Our afternoon train departs at 16:08 and arrives at 22:39 in Stuttgart. From Stuttgart to Vienna, our trains depart from Stuttgart Central Station at 07:12 or 15:12 and arrive at Vienna West Station at 13:52 or 21:52.
As an added bonus, anyone traveling with a valid Deutschland-Ticket saves up to 50 % on our WESTflex fare with our DeutschlandPlusTicket fare.
Stuttgart – Explore this dynamic city
Stuttgart, the lively capital of Baden-Württemberg, offers an ideal mix of culture, parks and urban flair.
At Schlossplatz, you can admire the impressive Neue Schloss (New castle) and historic architecture before going shopping in Königsstraße.
Car fans will get their money's worth at the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche Museum. Wilhelma, Europe's only zoological and botanical garden, is a highlight for families and nature lovers.
The surrounding vineyards and Killesbergpark are perfect for relaxing hours, where you can unwind for a leisurely stroll. Whether art, history or nature – Stuttgart has plenty to offer!
Ulm – discover history
Ulm, the charming border town on the Danube between the states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, impresses with its rich history and modern architecture.
Ulm Minster, with the highest church tower in the world, is an absolute must for anyone who loves breathtaking views. In the old town, you can stroll through picturesque alleyways and explore the fishermen's and tanners' quarters. Technology enthusiasts are drawn to the Museum of Bread Culture or the Danube Swabian Central Museum.
The banks of the Danube invite you to take relaxing walks or cycle tours, while the Botanical Gardens of Ulm University are a green retreat.
Günzburg – off to LEGOLAND® Deutschland
Günzburg, a charming town in Bavaria, offers a special attraction in addition to its baroque historic centre with pretty half-timbered houses: LEGOLAND® Deutschland.
This theme park thrills families with over 60 attractions, including exciting rides, shows and impressive LEGO® models. A children's paradise, where kids from all ages can let their creativity run wild.
Günzburg's old town centre also invites you to enjoy relaxing walks, small cafés and regional cuisine. Günzburg is the perfect place to combine culture and fun!

Augsburg – with its famous puppet theatre
Augsburg, one of the oldest cities in Germany, impresses with its history and culture.
The old town centre with its magnificent town hall and the Perlachturm right next to it. The Fuggerei, the oldest social housing estate in the world, invites you to explore.
Augsburg is also particularly famous for its traditional puppet shows, which come to life in the Augsburger Puppenkisten theatre and delight generations.
Art lovers are drawn to the Augsburg art collections. Green oases such as the Botanical Gardens or the Lech canals offer relaxation.
Our state-of-the-art trains offer maximum comfort
With speeds of up to 200 km/h, our ultra-modern double-decker fleet will get you to your destination quickly and efficiently. You can choose between three comfort classes for your journey with WESTbahn: First Class, Comfort Class or Standard Class.
Every WESTbahn train offers you maximum comfort for a pleasant and comfortable journey: spacious leather seats, each with a 220 V socket, free Wi-Fi throughout the train, air conditioning, spacious luggage areas with luggage locks, gender-segregated toilets and four WESTcafés per train (with hot and cold drinks and snacks).
Our low-floor carriages with extra-wide entrance doors enable step-free boarding and easy luggage transport. There are also 18 bicycle stands available on each train, 16 of which can be reserved in advance.
A tip: If possible, enjoy the view from the upper deck of our trains!
