We leave no passenger behind – WESTbahn is the first and only railway operator in Europe to offer its passengers a ride guarantee! All travellers who arrive at a WESTbahn train with a valid ticket are guaranteed to be able to board and travel on our trains: no one will be turned away at the platform due to an overcrowded WESTbahn train.
We have made a conscious decision to formally issue this passenger guarantee as we are confident that we will never have to clear a train or refuse boarding to anyone due to capacity reasons.
And if, in the very unlikely event, this should happen and due to overcrowding, boarding is refused, the affected passenger will be offered the following: You can take the next WESTbahn train and get double the fareprice back as a credit on your WESTbahn account. Passengers with a KlimaTicket Österreich will be credited double the amount of WESTpunkte as compensation.
