Westbahn Timetable 2026
More trains, more destinations, more Westbahn
With the timetable change on 14 December 2025, we will be adding new destinations and increase frequencies on our network. To start off, we will once again be running a seamless half-hourly service from Vienna Westbahnhof. In the Salzburg region, we are extending our St. Johann/Pongau connection – new stations are: Schwarzach-St. Veit, Lend, Bruck-Fusch, Zell am See, Maishofen-Saalbach and Saalfelden. Three daily direct services will connect the alpine regions of Pinzgau and Pongau to Vienna. Passengers travelling to Munich will have the option of getting on or off at München-Pasing.
Starting in March 2026, we are launching our new direct connection to Styria and Carinthia: From Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), our new route takes you via Wien Meidling, Wiener Neustadt, Semmering, Bruck an der Mur, Graz and Klagenfurt straight to Villach. With up to five daily connections in each direction, our brandnew trains take you from Vienna to the south and back. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your journey through some of Austria’s most beautiful regions.
