Traveling with WESTbahn to Innsbruck

Innsbruck - The Alpine City

Innsbruck, the charming capital of Tyrol, blends history with modern life amidst the Alps.

The city is renowned for its magnificent architecture, which is why we recommend a city stroll in the heart of Innsbruck's downtown. The starting point is the WESTbahn arrival point: Innsbruck Central Station, from where you head over to the impressive Triumphpforte, directly leading to Marie-Theresienstraße and further on to the Old Town with its narrow alleyways. During the walk, you'll be accompanied by the fresh Alpine air and will enjoy the beautiful city center, including the "Goldene Dachl". The walk concludes on the banks of the Inn River, where you can admire the impressive mountain panorama and savor the impressions of this excursion.

With the WESTbahn to Tyrol

Even more Tyrol

With our route extension in December, we are not only adding new stations in Vorarlberg, but WESTbahn will stop at 3 new stations in Tyrol.

The 4 stations of Telfs-Pfaffenhofen, Imst-Pitztal, Landeck-Zams and St. Anton am Arlberg are known for their numerous ski areas. The Arlberg ski area is particularly well-known, as it is the largest interconnected ski area and offers excellent piste conditions - a dream for all winter sports enthusiasts among us. Every single resort is worth a visit, as they offer breathtaking nature experiences in addition to the fantastic slopes. A detour to the après-ski scene is particularly recommended. There is also no shortage of culinary delights and history, especially in St. Anton am Arlberg, where the culture is reflected in the traditional wooden huts.
