Spring 2027 timetable

Spring 2027 timetable

Valid from 8 February 2027 to 9 July 2027

Due to extensive construction work by DB InfraGO from 8 February to 9 July 2027 between Salzburg and Rosenheim, timetable changes will apply for passengers travelling to and from Tyrol/Vorarlberg and for those travelling to and from Munich and Stuttgart.

Our services from Vienna to Villach/Spittal and to Saalfelden/Zell am See are not affected by these restrictions.

Rail replacement bus service between Salzburg and Tyrol/Vorarlberg

From 8 February to 9 July 2027, Westbahn trains will not be running via Germany. During this period, Westbahn will be operating its own rail replacement bus service. We have summarised all the information and timetables on the Tyrol rail replacement service page.

Changes to/from Munich and Stuttgart

All Westbahn trains to and from Munich/Stuttgart will be diverted via Wels and Passau to Munich. This will result in the following changes:

  • New stops: Passau, Plattling, Landshut and Freising
  • Discontinued stops: Prien am Chiemsee, Rosenheim, Munich East (München Ost) and Munich Pasing (München Pasing)
  • Vienna – Munich: four instead of five daily services
  • Updated departure and arrival times

Whilst the construction work is underway, Westbahn is offering new direct services between Austria and Lower Bavaria, as well as within Bavaria.

Information on train services between Vienna and Salzburg

Trains diverted via Passau will be coupled together and run as double units from Vienna to Wels. The front unit continues from Wels to Salzburg. The rear unit continues from Wels via Passau to Munich or Stuttgart..

! Trains 11962, 11968, 913 and 11969 will run daily from 15 March 2027.
