Winter 2026/2027 timetable

With the timetable change on 13 December 2026, is introducing numerous improvements to Westbahn’s services:
German corridor construction works concluded
Our regular services to Tyrol and Vorarlberg through the German corridor will be resumed and passengers can enjoy journey times that are up to 30 minutes shorter again:
- Vienna–Innsbruck in 4 hours and 26 minutes
- Vienna–Bregenz in 7 hours and 10 minutes
- Lindau will return as a destination on our network
Munich Central Station will also see restored direct high-speed services, with five daily connections.
More connections between Vienna and Salzburg
Starting 13 December, Westbahn will introduce two additional midday services in each direction:
- Vienna/Linz → Salzburg: 12:08 and 14:08
- Salzburg → Linz/Vienna: 12:22 and 15:22
Updates on our southern route to Graz / Villach
Westbahn will continue to operate five daily connections between Vienna, Wr. Neustadt, Graz, Klagenfurt & Villach. Selected departure times have been revised:
- Train 1001 from Vienna now departs at 07:15 instead of 06:15
- Train 1005 from Vienna now departs at 13:15 instead of 14:15
- The first three services from Villach depart at 06:08, 08:08, and 11:08
We will also add Payerbach-Reichenau to our Westbahn network again:
- Morning service: Train 1000 to Vienna, departing at 08:51
- Evening service: Train 1009 to Villach, departing at 19:10

Our brandnew highspeed SMILE fleet, connects Vienna Central Station via Vienna Meidling, Wiener Neustadt, Semmering (or Payerbach-Reichenau), Bruck an der Mur, Graz, and Klagenfurt to Villach, with five daily direct services.
