Timetable changes from 7 September 2026
Due to necessary maintenance work, we will be adjusting the Westbahn timetable as follows from 7 September 2026:
- Train 926 runs from Monday to Thursday only from Vienna Westbahnhof to Wels.
- Train 950 runs from Monday to Thursday only between Vienna Westbahnhof and Linz.
- Train 909 runs from Wels only from Tuesday to Friday.
- Train 957 runs from Linz only from Monday to Thursday.
- Trains 958 and 997 are cancelled between Vienna and Linz.
Exceptions during the autumn half-term holidays and around 8 December:
From 24 October to 15 November and from 5 to 12 December, all trains will run daily according to the current timetable and without any omissions of stops (with the exception of train 958 and train 997). This ensures that we provide a demand-driven and reliable service during the autumn half-term holidays and around the public holiday on 8 December.
Construction works Germany
Due to construction work by Deutsche Bahn, journey times on routes to and from Germany and Tyrol/Vorarlberg are still subject to changes:
- Journey times to and from Innsbruck and Munich will be extended by up to 15 minutes, and to and from Vorarlberg by up to 30 minutes.
- Lindau (Reutin and Insel) will no longer be served. Services to and from Lindau will resume with the timetable change in December.
- Our two daily services to and from Stuttgart will bypass Munich Central Station. You can board or alight at Munich Ost or Munich Pasing stations.
Services on the southern route
From 29 May 2026, we will be running five services a day in each direction from Vienna Central Station to Graz and on to Carinthia. Please consult the timetable for our southern connections further below.

Vienna, Graz, Klagenfurt & Villach
From 29 May 2026, we’ll be running five services a day in each direction between Vienna and Villach. From Vienna Central Station, the route runs via Vienna Meidling, Wiener Neustadt, Semmering, Bruck an der Mur, Graz and Klagenfurt directly to Villach. Enjoy convenient connections from Vienna to the south – and back.
