The flexibile WESTbahn fare
Our WESTflexpreis fare offers you full flexibility – simply hop on the next WESTbahn train. Tickets at the WESTflexpreis fare are not personalised or train-bound. The WESTflex price is available online, in our WESTshops (+ € 1,-), in selected tobacconists (+ € 2,-) or directly on the train (+ € 3,10,-).
Your WESTbahn benefits
Our trains connect Vienna, St. Pölten, Amstetten, Linz, Wels, Attnang-Puchheim, Vöcklabruck and Salzburg every 30 minutes. In addition we offer multiple daily services to Innsbruck (via Kufstein and Wörgl) and Munich (via Rosenheim), as well as Bregenz starting December 10th 2023.
Just hop on
With our WESTflex fare, we offer all travellers a flexible fare – without being tied to a specific train. The flexible ticket can be used for a one-way journey on any WESTbahn train on the selected day of travel.
Travelling with kids? No problem – accompanied children under the age of 6 travel free of charge. For children up to the age of 15, you only pay 2 euros per child per journey. More information is available on our family travel page.
And with our WESTfixplatz free seat-reservation, all passengers who book online up to 3 hours before departure, automatically receive a free pre-reserved seat in our Standard Class.
More flexibility
Our WESTflexpreis tickets are not personalised and can therefore be transferred to someone else.
The flexible ticket is valid for a single journey on any WESTbahn train on the selected day of travel.
If you are unable to travel on the selected travel day, you have the option of cancelling your WESTflex fare ticket free of charge up to one day before the selected travel day.
Service and Comfort
We offer our guests a high-quality travel experience – do not hesitate to contact our crew on board for assistance or information.
Our state-of-the-art double-decker fleet offers our passengers a great deal of comfort: comfortable and spacious leather seats, power sockets throughout the train, free Wi-Fi, gender-segregated toilets, four WESTcafés per train (with coffee, cold drinks and snack vending machines) and three comfort classes.
