Timetable & Travel Updates

Due to construction work by Deutsche Bahn between Salzburg and Rosenheim, limited services will be available in Germany from 5 January to 6 February 2026. Trains 960, 964, 968, 961, 965 and 967 to/from Munich will be diverted via Passau between Wels and Munich Central Station.

The following stops will therefore not be served by the affected trains: Attnang-Puchheim, Vöcklabruck, Salzburg, Rosenheim and Munich East. Instead these trains will stop in Passau. The journey time will be extended by 30–45 minutes.

Westbahn services to and from Stuttgart are not affected and will run according to the regular timetable.

Due to engineering works on our line to Saalfelden in Pinzgau (Province of Salzburg), timetable changes will apply from Wednesday, 7 January 2026, to Monday, 25 May 2026, on the section between Lend and Taxenbach:

• Train 904 will depart from Lend 10–15 minutes later.
• Train 912 will depart from Lend 10–15 minutes later.
• Train 924 will depart from Lend 10–15 minutes later.
• Train 929 will depart between Saalfelden and Salzburg Central Station up to 20 minutes earlier.

Due to construction work by ÖBB between Wels and Linz, all trains heading for Vienna will experience an extended journey time of approximately 6 minutes on the following days (departure for all stations from Linz will be delayed by approx. 6 minutes):

• Su. 08.02.2026 – Mo. 09.02.2026
• Su. 15.02.2026 – Mo. 16.02.2026
• Fr. 20.02.2026 – Mo. 23.02.2026
• Fr. 27.02.2026 – Mo. 02.03.2026

Train 998 towards Salzburg will have an extended journey time of approximately 6 minutes for all stations from Wels.

Due to engineering works on our line to Bregenz/Lindau, timetable changes will apply from Sunday, 22 February 2026 to Sunday, 03 May 2026, on the section between Rankweil and Götzis: 

• Train 970 will depart from Feldkirch 10–15 minutes later.
• Train 976 will depart from Feldkirch 10–15 minutes later.
• Train 979 will depart between Lindau and Rankweil up to 10 minutes earlier.

Due to construction work, the following timetable changes will apply between Vienna and Linz from 15 March 2026 to 22 March 2026:

• Direction Vienna → Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Bregenz, Munich, Stuttgart: All trains depart 6 minutes earlier from Vienna, St. Pölten and Amstetten, except:
  • On 15 March, only trains 928, 956, 930 and 958 departing from Vienna Westbahnhof after 19:30 are affected.
• Direction Bregenz, Innsbruck, Stuttgart, Munich, Salzburg, Linz → Vienna: Arrival and departure times in Amstetten, St. Pölten and Vienna are delayed by 6 minutes for all trains.
  • On 15 March, only trains 929, 969, 931, 979 and 997 arriving at Vienna Westbahnhof after 21:00 are affected.

Due to construction work by ÖBB Infra in Tyrol, the stop in Jenbach will be cancelled for all trains from Friday, 03 April 2026, 16:00 until Monday, 06 April 2026.

On 03 April 2026, only the afternoon trains 976, 978, 977, and 979 are affected.
