Travel the entire Westbahn network in Austria and Germany with your valid Interrail or Eurail Global Pass (conditions of the respective pass provider apply). Just hop on!
Our fast Westbahn InterCity fleet connects Vienna, St. Pölten, Amstetten, Linz, Wels, Attnang-Puchheim, Vöcklabruck and Salzburg every 30 minutes. In addition, you can travel directly with us to many destinations in the Austrian Alps: in Tyrol, for example, we stop in Innsbruck, St. Anton, Jenbach, Kufstein, Wörgl and Landeck. In the alpine regions of Vorarlberg, our trains call at Bludenz, Feldkirch, Hohenems, Dornbirn and Bregenz amongst others and in the Salzburg alps stops include St. Johann im Pongau, Zell am See and Saalfelden. In addition, Westbahn connects Vienna with the Bavarian capital of Munich (via Rosenheim) and continues to Augsburg, Günzburg/LEGOLAND® Deutschland, Ulm and Stuttgart. The Westbahn Interrail / Eurail offer
Travellers with a valid Interrail or Eurail Global Pass including Austria and Germany are entitled to travel to any destination on our network.
Please note the following:
- New from 15.09.2026: With a valid First-Class Pass from Interrail or Eurail, you are entitled to travel in our First Class.
- Seat reservations are not included with any pass – but you can add one here for a surcharge:

Our modern double-decker fleet offers our passengers plenty of comfort: spacious leather seats each with its own 230V power socket, free Wi-Fi, gender-separated toilets, onboard WestCafés (with coffee, cold drinks and snack vending machines) and three comfort classes.
