Timetable & Travel Updates

Due to track maintenance work by Deutsche Bahn between Munich East and Munich Central Station, the following timetable changes apply from 12 to and including 14 September:

• Trains 960, 964, 968 will not stop at Munich East (München Ost).
• Trains 961, 965, 967 will depart from Munich Central Station approx. 20 minutes earlier at minute XX:30. The stop in Munich East is cancelled. Your Westbahn ticket will be accepted on the Munich S-Bahn for your journey from Munich East to Munich Central Station.
• Trains 962 and 966 will stop at Munich East (München Ost) and Munich Pasing (12:23 and 20:16). Your Westbahn ticket will be accepted on the S-Bahn for travel to and from Munich Central Station.
• Trains 963 and 969 will stop at Munich East (München Ost) and Munich Pasing (09:42 and 17:40). Your Westbahn ticket will be accepted on the S-Bahn for travel to and from Munich Central Station.

Due to construction work by DB Infra Go between Augsburg and Günzburg, all 4 trains (962, 966, 963 and 969) will be diverted via Dillingen from Saturday, 13 September 2025 to Friday, 26 September 2025.

Arrival in Stuttgart will be delayed by around 20 minutes. Please note the earlier departure time in Augsburg for trains 962 and 966.

Due to track maintenance work by Deutsche Bahn between Salzburg and Munich, some trains will be diverted via Passau. On other routes, trains will not stop at Munich Central Station. Your Westbahn ticket is valid on the Munich S-Bahn between Munich East (München Ost) ↔ Munich Central Station (München Hbf) ↔ Munich Pasing.

Trains via Salzburg:

• Train 960 and 968: no stop at Munich East.
• Trains 962 and 966 to Stuttgart will stop only at Munich East and Munich Pasing (12:19 and 20:16), bypassing Munich Central Station.
• Train 965: no stop at Munich East.
• Trains 963 and 969 will run from Stuttgart via Munich Pasing (09:42 and 17:45) and Munich East, bypassing Munich Central Station, to Salzburg and onward to Vienna.

Trains via Passau:

• Train 964 will run from Wels via Passau directly to Munich Central Station. The stops at Attnang-Puchheim, Vöcklabruck, Salzburg, Rosenheim, and Munich East are cancelled. Arrival at Munich Central Station is delayed by approx. 20 minutes.
• Trains 961 and 967 will depart from Munich Central Station via Passau to Vienna. The stops at Munich East, Rosenheim, Salzburg, Vöcklabruck, and Attnang-Puchheim are cancelled. Please note that these trains depart 30 minutes earlier from Munich Central Station.

Due to track renewal work by ÖBB Infra on the Arlbergbahn between Ötztal and Bludenz, no services will be possible between Innsbruck and Bregenz from 06 October – 02 November 2025. For trains to/from Vorarlberg, a free rail replacement service with buses will be organised between Innsbruck and Bludenz. To get from/to Bludenz please use the regional train services. Your Westbahn-ticket will be accepted on this trains.
